When i first worked in a kitchen, I had little to no contact with anyone people ignored me because i was new and not too good at my job. So I worked harder than i should have just to distract myself from that.
One day the Chef walked over to me and said “i see you working hard, good job”. When he said that to me i was still fairly new at the job and felt like i wasn’t even able to do it properly yet. Actually it was mostly fucking up. So i asked, “why’d you say that” and he said “because everyone gets what they deserve, they just have to wait for it”.
